It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Connie Lee Weddle, who left this world on May 13, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on August 31, 1948, in Marshfield, MO, Connie spent her life bringing joy and love to those around her, especially in her beloved home of Mansfield.

Connie was not only a dedicated administrative assistant for the Assemblies of God District Office, but a cherished friend, family member, and traveler at heart. She embraced life with a zest that was contagious, always ready for the next vacation, adventure or shopping trip. Her laughter and spirit will surely be missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Bob Weddle, and their children: son, Rob Weddle, and daughter, Annette Cooper. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy in her daughter-in-law Laura Weddle, grandchildren, J.W. Weddle, Jessica Cockrum, Tori Kennedy and Trey Weddle, as well as 15 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Connie’s love for her family was always evident, and she cherished every moment spent together, especially when cooking for her family at holiday gatherings.

To honor Connie’s life and the indelible mark she left on us all, we invite friends and family to gather for her funeral services on Thursday, May 21, 2026. A visitation will take place at 9 AM, followed by a celebration of her life at 10 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North 3506 N. National Ave. Springfield, MO 65803. The burial will follow the service at White Chapel in Springfield, MO.

As we say our goodbyes, let us remember the laughter, the adventures, and the warmth Connie brought into our lives. May we carry her spirit with us, continuing to celebrate the joy she shared with all of us every day.

“Your Greatest Adventure Begins”
By Rob

Mom, you were always lifting us up,
Pouring your love into empty cups.
Not giving an inch, yet giving your life,
Sacrificing yourself to ease others’ strife.

You taught us to live with passion and strength,
To protect those we love and go any length.
To love without limits, to give everything,
To love and to laugh, to play and to sing.

This part of your journey is finally done;
Your forever reward cannot be undone.
Your limits are endless, your agony past,
No longer to see through a dark, cloudy glass.

I’ll bet you can run and jump like a deer,
The wind in your hair, flying high without fear.
Barefoot in flowery fields with no end—
At last, your greatest adventure begins.

I love you, Mama.
See ya soon.

Rob, your mom Connie Waddle was a sweet soul who touched everyone she was around. I don’t ever remember seeing her without that beautiful smile. And I enjoyed visiting with her. She was one of those people who bring out the best in you. She will be greatly missed. Praying for all of you.

Thanks so much, Aunt Kim! You’re right, Mom was not one of those people who was liked by some, but not by others. I can’t imagine somebody not loving Mom, and while I know she’s in such better shape now, walking the streets of gold, I’m going to miss her terribly.

Rob and Family, Gary and I want to let you know that we send our prayers and condolences to your family as you face the days ahead. Losing a parent is very hard and everything changes after they are gone. One thing we do know, God is still our comforter and He will give you strength to get through the days ahead. One day a small thing will trigger your memory about a special time with her or you will all at once get an overwhelming urge to call her and realize she is not there. The times that are the hardest are the holidays and the birthdays. It is during those times that our sweet memories flood us and give us comfort. She was an amazing lady and we both loved the photo you posted of her on this site. It is so beautiful and brings out her love and sweet spirit. May God bless you, Rob and your lovely wife, Laura, your dear dad, Bob and your precious sister, Annette….. Our sympathy, Gary & Janet Basnett
