I can see you, ya know.
No specific details, and nothing personal. It’s not clear, like a stone at the bottom of the crystal lake.
Not like that.
I see a groaning, powerful, warrior spirit. Like a silhouette of beauty; the shadow of a scarred and lovely soul.
You miss me, I know. It must feel like I was savagely ripped from your life.
Oh my love, this may seem real, but it’s not the truth at all!! I am now the epitome of joy. Every fiber of my being screams “happiness!”
This is not DEATH, this is life.
I can’t wait to show you the majesty of eternity which awaits you.
Darkness is banned from this place. Fear, depression and ugliness are nowhere to be found.
Despair is forbidden here.
There is a colosseum in the center of town, where we gather regularly. God allows us to watch your victories, your laughter. We view your life through tinted glass; we see not everything, but we see enough.
You should hear the roar of applause in Heaven at the close of your earthly days.
“YES!!” we scream. “You made it! Keep going, my love! You’re almost home!”
In the grand scheme of eternity, any length of human time is “almost home.”
The colosseum gatherings are a regular occurrence, but when we’re not cheering the victory of your survival, we busy ourselves preparing for your arrival.
Your days may seem long and arduous, but soldier on! For you see, my love, once you cross the threshold into eternal life, that which you suffer now will forever be erased from your soul.
Ten thousand human years from now we shall still be together.
I am not “dead,” and in fact, have never been more alive!
So please, my love, I beg you, do not quit!
Be of good courage! I know you would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord, and your time is approaching. *
You stand mighty on the field of battle amidst great armies. Covered in mud, blood, sweat and tears, you will persevere until God carries you home, forever to be with Him.
And with me!!
And with our people going back to the beginning of time.
On that great day, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will spread a wonderful feast for all the people of the world. It will be a delicious banquet with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat.
There He will remove the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death that hangs over the earth. He will swallow up death forever!
The Lord will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against His land and people. **
Our separation is merely an illusion, my love. Soon you will see that.
Until then, rage hard against the night. Go to war with all that seeks to rip away your light. In the mighty name of Jesus, you can never be defeated!
Take care and be strong, my love.
See you soon.
