Letter to the 1970-Me
"It's gonna be a tough road, for sure, but you can handle it. Nobody will think to tell you this, but you're much tougher than what you give yourself credit for. Yeah, there'll be setbacks, disappointments and pain, but overall, you're in for a wild ride, kid."

Those Glowing Souls
I’ll admit I’ve never been much of a smiler. Pain and fatigue are no excuse for me not having that type of spirit, Lord, and I’m sorry. I will try to work on that.

Choose Peace Not War
I love the wondrous variety of our country's melting pot, but not everyone shares that opinion. But you know what? I can't control everybody, I can only control MY actions...

Finding God in the Midst of the Flames
We love reading Jeremiah 29:11, about God’s plans for us; plans for GOOD and not for EVIL. What many don’t realize, however, is these words were written in a letter to a group of captives just after being savagely ripped from their homes and taken to a strange and evil land. This group cried out for deliverance, but instead of carrying out a dramatic rescue, the Lord told them to ease up, chill out, settle in and make the most of it.

Keep Reaching For The Stars
If you can feel your spirit slowly dying, I implore you to make a change. A change of scenery, a change of friends, a change of music, whatever. Whether it’s online or in your community, seek out crazy, like-minded individuals who lift you up and not tear you down. Whatever it takes for you to keep chasing your dream, do it. Never give in, never give up, never surrender.

Grab Hold Of Your Dream
You may not think too highly of yourself but God sees what you can be and not what you are. If you can grab hold of that, and then begin to seek His will for your life, it'll absolutely rock your world. Don't settle for second best. You're better than that. God believes in you and so do I.

Remember The Young
Today, somebody, somewhere is commemorating the passing of someone dear to them. They are wiping tears and trying to swallow grief before it swallows them. They are sad and maybe even bitter. For the rest of us, it’s just Wednesday.

I’m A Miracle Man
I’m not here to prove anything to you; I’m just a husband, father, grandfather (aka “Poppy”), chronic pain sufferer and writer, trying to make sense of the world around me. I’m not a preacher, evangelist or professor, and I don’t have the “gift of healing,” as we Pentecostals like to call it. All that being said, though, I’ve witnessed miracles all around me. So, in case you were wondering...the answer is “yes,” God is still in the miracle-working business. Don’t you ever doubt it.
